My First Summits on the Air Activation! Grass Mountain!

I finally did it! I hiked to a location of my choosing and activated Grass Mountain. It did it early in the morning so I could be the heat. Little did I know I would have a race against a thunderstorm from a hurricane that was off the southern coast of California.

Thunderstorm moving in quick so I had to cut things short.

A special thanks to wG0AT & N6MKW who not only inspired me to get out and do this. It was a great morning and a great activation. I am wondering how long this new found activity will last for me as I tend to get bored rather easily. This was great though as it combined the outdoors and radio, two things I love.
